What does the order of the ingredients in the INCI list mean?
The order of the INCI list indicates how much of each ingredient is contained in a cosmetic product. The ingredients are listed in descending order of their proportion in the product, with the ingredient with the highest proportion listed first. INCI stands for the “International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients”. Please note that the order of ingredients on the INCI list does not necessarily reflect the effectiveness or safety of the products. An ingredient low down on the INCI list can nevertheless play an important role in the effect or stability of the product.
Does skjur use parabens in its products?
We do not use parabens in our products.Parabens are synthetic preservatives used in cosmetic products to prevent the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria and moulds. There are concerns about their safety and possible effects on health. Some studies have shown that parabens are endocrine disruptors. The European Union has therefore classified certain parabens as ‘substances of concern’ and restricted their use in cosmetic products. In addition, parabens can cause allergic reactions in some people, especially those with sensitive skin.
Are skjur products vegan?
Our cream formulations contain no ingredients of animal origin.
Questions about your product
Which order should the products be used in?
Start by washing and cleansing the face with the mild cleansing foam to prepare your skin for the following skin care products. Afterwards, we recommend that you use the day cream in the morning and the night cream in the evening, and gently massage it into the skin. The last step is to apply the eye cream to the ring finger and gently pat it onto the skin below the eyes. Apply the eye cream with gentle pressure, working it into the skin from the outside towards the inner corner of the eye.
What skin type are the products suitable for?
Our products are suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
What is the shelf life of the products?
On each product, you will see a small jar with an open lid. ‘6M’ is written on the jar. This means that the product has a shelf life of six months after opening.
Are all the products also suitable for sensitive skin?
All our products are very well tolerated and suitable for sensitive skin.
Are the products tested on animals?
Testing cosmetics on animals has been banned in the EU since 2013. Likewise, the marketing of cosmetic products tested on animals outside the EU is prohibited within the EU. Our products are all free of animal testing.
How long will the products last?
For the 50 ml day and night cream, 1-2 pumps per application are recommended, which ensures the product will last around 2 months. The 15 ml eye cream lasts for approx. 1 month if you use half a pump per application.
Where can I find an explanation of the ingredients?
You will find our ingredients glossary HERE, where you can read up on all the ingredients of the individual products.
Can I use the day cream on my eye area too, instead of the eye cream?
The eye cream and day cream have different functions, which we have taken into account in our formulation. The eye care has a very light texture and has been perfectly adapted to the sensitive skin around the eyes. A lower concentration of fragrance was used in the eye care than in the day cream. Therefore, we recommend that you use the eye cream for the sensitive area around the eyes and the day cream on your face.
Can I also use the night cream instead of the day cream?
The day and night creams have different functions, which we have taken into account in our formulation. The day cream has a light texture and protects the skin from harmful environmental influences during the day. The night care, in turn, has a rich texture that supports the skin overnight during the regeneration phase. Therefore, we recommend that you use a product that is adapted to the time of day.

How do I get the residues out of the packaging?
The airless pump system used in our products allows the inner bag of the bottle to contract completely, resulting in only very small residual quantities. These are not removable due to the closed system.
